Maybe squeeze in a cover crop of oats or something? This would restore an extra enhanced population of good soil biology? I dont know if you are open to ideas, but try various cover crops (vs no cover crop)...? ...Well, for me, the only way to justify costs is if I am learning something.
I think 99.9% of us have to justify spending more than we should.
